The reality is starting to grip you that you are no longer a kid, but a young adult preparing to face the world on your own. This is perhaps one of the most special times in life when you are usually in your prime, beauty and peak of fitness. This special time in portraiture is no doubt looked back upon and referenced more than any other throughout your life. As we’ve stated we consider these some of the most important images of your life and so we think they should be treated as such. We speak to all of our senior’s and their parents about what is really important to them in their photography. We are not about numbers, but rather about creating individualized sessions that allow a student to really speak to who he or she is. Before we ever photograph with you we will have you meet with us to chat about your photography and put our creative juices together to design a session that will be awesome for you. Because we are so individualized we are limited as to the number of sessions that we have available. This is your special moment and we want it to be one for you to remember. It needs to be relaxed, fun and stress free. Your best portraits are going to happen when you are having fun just being yourself.

Another unique factor is our creative and artistic bent. As we stated before we often go way beyond many others in creating a special session that fits with your personality and expression. We individualize our sessions and can offer a tremendous variety of backgrounds and settings. This year we are opening a brand new studio built next to our home to facilitate all of our studio photography. In same location we offer a wide variety of outdoor settings from landscaped and flower gardens, country sets, to natural settings with sand stone bluffs, scrub oak and mountain backdrops and views.

We have pages of personal testimonials from parents and students about their photography experience and how special it was to them. The greatest thing about photographing seniors is that we have fun doing it. Beyond that, as a Certified Professional Photographer, I am always mindful of lighting, posing, composition, impact and all of the elements that go into fine art portraiture. At the same time I like to get out of the box and experiment with new things. We always want to keep it fresh, different and distinctive.

Sharon, my wife also photographs and has a keenly artistic eye. Many of the images that you see in the gallery are hers’ as well as mine.
